Taipei, Taiwan - December 10, 2006. Yellow人’s sophomore album, “Destination” was officially released in Taipei City on 10 November 2006. The music group’s lead vocalist, Chan Mong Yee also made a guest appearance at Taiwan’s Good News FM90.9 radio station. The interview was hosted by DJ咖啡猫 for its Christian Contemporary Music Programme that was aired on 13 November 2006.
Good News FM90.9 radio station, is a non-profit organisation that promotes positive and uplifting news to the Taiwan community through its 24-hour radio broadcasting services. They have about 40 DJs on staff. Their radio programmes were first aired in October 1995 when the Taiwan government became more liberal in their radio broadcasting regulations. In October 1998, their radio programmes were also made available to the worldwide Mandarin speaking population through its web portal at www.goodnews.org.tw. Above their vibrant radio programmes, they are also actively involved in community work.
We had a swell time with DJ咖啡猫 who had a bubbly and friendly personality.
She certainly knew how to put you at ease. Despite being their first
meeting, DJ咖啡猫 and Mong Yee were chattering away like old-time
friends. DJ咖啡猫
was thorough in her homework on Yellow人 and had even read all the
small prints on our album’s CD inlay. During the programme, DJ咖啡猫
divulged that she
was a fan of Ricky Ho and was visibly overwhelmed when she discovered
that Vanna, Ricky’s wife, was present at the station that day. At
the end of the
session, we had acquired both a fan and a friend. And 咖啡猫 was
the first person in Taiwan to receive a CD personally autographed
by
Chan Mong Yee of
Yellow人.
