“Make” is the theme of our Yellowren Arts Festival 2018, an exploration of the endless possibilities to make beauty and hope for our communities.

Yellowren Arts Festival started in the heartlands of Singapore at the beautiful Lower Seletar Reservoir Park in August 2013 to bring arts into areas where residents can enjoy and meaningfully engage arts right where they live.

With free outdoor performances, art exhibitions and workshops, our annual arts festival draws an excellent crowd from the neighborhood in the north. Along with fringe activities, the festival provides a platform for local artists to showcase their artworks, create conversations, establish connections with one another and more importantly to allow a broad spectrum of our community to see beauty and hope. The festival also gathers and introduces Singaporean food start-ups and enterprises to the local community to share the passion for food and promote culinary skills as an art form.

Cape of Colours (www.capeofcolours.org) is a registered charity that strives to build the dreams of students in need to develop their full potential through education.  Cape of Colours offers financial aid, award scholarships, provide free tuition and forge partnerships with schools. Cape of Colours is the festival cause and beneficiary of Yellowren Productions. Visit their booth to learn what they do and how you can support their cause.

Colin Goh is the CEO of The RICE Company Limited, a non-profit organisation formed in 2014. The company currently manages a 10,000 sq ft arts space, The Little Arts Academy – providing free arts training for underprivileged children. It also raised SGD$3.5 million and converted a 15,000 sq ft car park space into an arts and creative space for youths. The goal ultimately being to facilitate the development of human lives, and connecting communities both locally and globally. Colin’s focus on social entrepreneurship previously led him to design a financial model to conserve The Old Parliament House, winning the 2004 “Best Conservation Award” from the Urban Redevelopment Authority. Mr Colin Goh embarked on his journey of promoting and raising funds for the Arts and its communities since 1991, starting as Associate Producer of various musicals and arts festivals in Singapore.
