Transformative
Arts Programme

About the Programme

Transformative Arts Programme (TAP) is a collaborative partnership with Cape of Colours (www.capeofcolours.org) in bringing an arts-based enrichment curriculum to our local schools to engage, influence and impact students through stories, hands-on art experiences and reflection.

Not every child thrives in conventional classroom settings. The TAP curriculum caters to diverse learning needs. It centers on using art as a metaphor and problem-based learning to nurture a child beyond the academic curriculum.

Beyond teaching art techniques, the programme seeks to instill life skills, confidence and resilience in students. Through providing a safe and fun platform for learning, the programme introduces themes such as anger management, internal locus of control and social awareness.

Beyond the Classroom

There are opportunities for learning beyond the classroom such as outdoor photography, visits to museums, service learning at a home for the elderly or exhibitions to showcase the students’ art pieces. Each curriculum is designed to specially cater to the needs of the school.
